IMPORTANT CART32 ANNOUNCEMENT

On Tuesday, March 8, 2005, Compuweb upgraded the Cart32 Shopping Cart system. Cart32 recently released version 6.0 of the Shopping Cart system, and has many new and improved features. Below is a listing of new features that will greatly improve performance, give more flexibility with new options, and a new look and feel:

* Integration of the Verified By Visa and Mastercard SecureCode programs through Cardinal Commerce
* Integration of PreCharge service for fraud protection and pre-authorization of cards
* Automatic email out when order status changes, which can include tracking information
* Support for DHL shipping and tracking
* Support for creating shipping labels for DHL, USPS and FedEx
* Real Time Check Section - For processing e-checks
* Import/Export individual client settings
* Shipping types can optionally show based on criteria (total code, part no, weight, etc)
* Shipping types can be hidden if a call to UPS, USPS, FedEx or DHL returns zero
* Max weight per box & ShipsInOwnBox feature to make shipping more accurate
* Built in email queue, to make the last step in the order processes run faster
* Ability to pause email queue, so if a mail server is down, email can still go out once it's back up
* Added Parcel Post, First Class and Media Mail as options for USPS shipping
* Auto Download - File can optionally be chosen from a hard drive location instead of a URL. This protects the real file location from being known and a file location that's not web accessible can be used.
* Discount codes can now be optionally entered prior to checking out
* More than one discount codes can be optionally applied to an order
* Discounts can apply to one or more items and not just the entire order
* Built in auto update feature so Cart32 can check and download build updates from our server.
* CVV2 field can be required only if payment type is a credit card
* Payment surcharge to add a percent and not just a flat rate to the order
* Tax can now be based on state, country, city, county or zip code range
* All matching taxes can be combined to support different tax rates for state, city, county, etc.
* Built in feature to email all registered and non-registered users when running a promotion. Also, with the ability to include a "Remove" link
* Redesigned web admin to be faster and easier to use
* Option for a discount code to make an order tax-free
* New styles tab for further customization of the look of the cart
* Different default order status based on payment type
* Discounts codes can be optionally de-activated after they are used
* Auto Download - if more than one item ordered, only one email is sent instead of multiple emails.
